When you were little did you ever outsmart your parents? So much that they looked at you with a surprised look on their face. That's exactly what happened with my dad in this story. It all started when I was about 6 years old with our casual D.I. visits we would take every week, if you're not familiar with the D.I. (Deseret Industries) it's a thrift store or second hand store.

We went that day with my uncle and cousins to look around for anything that looked worth the price which for my uncle and dad it included antique Tvs, furniture, just about anything that was interesting. Well our parents would let us look at the toys while they stayed close by looking at their stuff, and I always liked looking at the little toys that came in a bag.

As we walked to the register my dad looked at my hand and said " No, ninita eso son muchos juguetes solo dije que uno okay mija." which is "No little girl that's too many toys, I only said one okay honey." so I told him to wait for me I would be back with just one toy. So as my uncle, cousins and dad waited a big grin went on my uncle's face "Hahaha, look at your daughter. As my dad turns around he sees little tiny me barely being able to walk because I was carrying those toy horses which you can ride on (as seen in the picture above.) "Well, you did say just one haha you weren't specific on the price!" said my uncle. The look on my dad's face was one to remember it was the look of surprise and admiration because on that day I outsmarted him. From then on he was very specific on what I could get at the store.

"You can get only one thing, and it has to be worth one penny." he would tell me from then on.
