Love one Another

These recent tragedies have made me think a lot about so many things, first of all I think we all come from the same place and our duty on this earth is to help one another not just when bad things happen but everyday. I know that sometimes I don't follow my own advice but I try to at least once a week help someone with something. Every time I do this I feel really good and I know that I have made a difference in someone's life.

Another thing I learned is to put myself in the other person's shoe, yes it's hard sometimes but it makes all the difference in the world I wish everyone would do this it really changes your perspective. Sometimes we are to quick to judge the other person and we think our opinion which most of the time isn't even an opinion but a judgement is valid. How can an opinion be valid if we don't put ourselves in the other person's position, how can we understand if we can't see what they are seeing and feel what they are feeling? It's impossible to argue with someone if you don't understand what they are going through. I have gone through the feeling of being judged and criticized for the things I did in my past and I let that bring me down but I now know that those that judge us for our pasts don't understand the meaning of FORGIVENESS. Put yourself in the shoe's of other's and then you can truly understand their point and become one in heart.

The biggest thing I learned is to love those around us. Take time in your day to tell them that you love them not just to say it but to truly mean it! You never know who is having a hard day and may want to give up. A simple I love you lights up their world. So many of us are rushing through life and we never take a break and tell those around us that we love them. I just wanted to say that you are loved by someone who helps us through the hardest moments of our lives his name is GOD (Heavenly Father) he sends trials in our lives only because he knows we are strong enough to go through them but remember that he is there to help you, you don't have to go through it alone! Don't belittle yourself for your past mistakes, after all he sees us not for who we are but what we can become. He is at our side to help us fight our battles.

“I testify that in this and every hour He is, with nail-scarred hands, extending to us that same grace, holding on to us and encouraging us, refusing to let us go, until we are safely home in the embrace of Heavenly Parents."

-Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
